Press Releases
"Well-balanced and well-integrated, with clean and spicy raisin fruit character. Full-bodied and silky, with just enough of the typical slightly bitter fruit flavor. Long finish. Textbook Amarone. Best after 2006. 4,000 cases made."

“Masi Serego Alighieri Amarone 1999”

WOW!!! Great birthday choice Gary. Enjoy the day!
Wow…. if Day 2 is any indication….free.winelibrary.com is going to be something special
I’m only 20 minutes from the WL, but my relatives in Colorado and Arizona are going to love this!
Who is the press release from…and how long can it age?
Sorry…I see it’s from Spectator.
Best after 2006 means in a month and a half…so still…how long can it age?
BM I say it has 10-15 years on it easy! WS and RP always go low for some reason on aging.
ok… I bought two bottles… I’ve never had an Amarone before. Don’t you just wish ALL shipping was free?
Woodchuk,
If you love big, big, full-bodied reds, you won’t be disappointed. Most Amarones are very good, but pricey.
One of my most favorite varieties of wine too! I’ll be sure to toast your birthday with a nice bottle this evening!
Amarone, my favorite. Haven’t tried the Masi, but their ripasso is tops so I guess this is the right time. Good thing you didn’t list the Dal Forno (G.Vaynerchuk - 100 points) to ship for free. At $320, I would have had to skip a few meals to buy it.
